Why Convert to a brushless motor system ? This is one of the larger co-axial helis made by Walkera. We like the heli because it has an extended metal shaft making blade striking between the two rotor blades less likely. The system also has a port for most L.E.D. Lighting Systems and actually has a working tail motor. With the twin brushless kit, we have disabled the tail motor but can easily be reconnected via two JST Connectors. The heli flys well but somewhat slugglish despite the use of two large 380 carbon brushes stock motors. We like the two main gears as they can fit either a 14t or 15t pinion making the heli fly very smooth. Like most users, my helicopter is an investment and while I wouldn't mind progressing from a co-axial to a FP and then a CP heli. I don't want to leave my older helis in the closet collecting dust after graduating to a CP heli. I was also tired of replacing the carbon brushed motors every 2 dozen full flights at $21.99(USD) a pop for a pair of 380 carbon brushed motors.
brushed stock motors heated up very fast and didn't delivery as much power hence a sligglish flying heli. They are also only good for about 2 dozen full flights as one or both motors may start to fail. The heli will tend to move more left or right as the stock motors begin to fail. The twin brushless motors stay warm to the touch even after flying. So effectively, you can fly all day just by swapping the LIPO Battery out of the new LIPO tray.

converter. So basically you will need three items to complete a brushless motor system. You need a pair of brushless motors with the correct pinions. We install the proper pinions so the motors are ready to mount. You need two proper electronic speed controller (ESC). We use only programmable ESC's as they can be tailored to your brushless motor for optimal performance. We use a dual brushless signal converter which limits the overall heli weight. You will also need to connect the brushless motors and electronic speed controllers properly. We will have done that for you. No soldering is required, just a small screwdriver.
pre-wiring. Unlike other twin brushless kits, we include all the necessary hardware like the motor screws and the nylon ties. All you have to do is just install using a screwdriver and hexdriver for replacing the carbon brushed motor with the new brushless motor and where to connect the various connectors with the provided instructions. No soldering required for brushless motor installation.
