.

1. First, remove the canopy and the two
large sized 380 stock carbon brushed
motors with a screwdriver. Disconnect the
small tail power wire as you will not be able
to connect this motor anymore without an
adapter plug which we will be in the
process of making for those who want the
tail motor to spin.

2. After removing the stock 380 carbon
brushed motors, your airframe should look
like this.

3. Okay, unpack the Walkera 400D Twin
Brushless Motor kit.  You will notice that
everything is prewired and labelled.  Motor
mount screws included with nylon tie wraps
for securing twin brushless kit to the
helicopter.

Start to install the brushless motors.  Install
the Upper Motor (motor with the pinion at
the tip of the brushless motor shaft).  This
gets installed in the front of the helicopter.
Then install the Lower Motor (Motor with
the pinion that is halfway into the brushless
motor shaft) at the back of the helicopter.

4. The brushless motors should mesh well
with the main gears.  Not too tight and not
too loose.  You can check by hand turning
each rotor head.  The rotor head should
spin somewhat freely.

5. The Dual Signal Converter is a VERY
sensative circuit board.  DO NOT Velcro. Do
NOT Squeeze the circuit board with your
fingers as it can get damaged.  We
assemble and test all brushless kits to be in
working order before shipping out.

6.  Next, let's connect the main motor wires
to the dual signal converter.  The dual
signal converter has two pairs of RED and
BLACK wires labelled "UPPER Motor" and
"LOWER Motor".

7
.  Connect these 2 pair of wires that
correspond to the Walkera Lama 400D
speedcontroller.  Make sure that the RED
wire connects to the PINK and the Black
wire connects to the WHITE.

8.   After connecting the Walkera 400D
Speed Controller brushless motor input
wires, we will now connect the power wire
of the Walkera Speedcontroller.  It uses a
3.5 mm banana plug.  Connect the Bannana
plug labelled "Connect to RX POWER INPUT
(400D Speed Controller)". (Red wire to Red
wire and Black wire to Black Wire.)

The other Bannana plug labelled "Connect
to LIPO BATTERY" is when you want to
power up the helicopter. (Red wire to Red
wire and Black wire to Black Wire.) We
suggest using the very convenient
ON/OFF
Banana Plug Power Switch.

9.  At this point, you should use the included
nylon ties and start to tie down the wires.
The heli should start to look like this.  You
can remove the connectors to the
Brushless motors to reposition the ESC's.
Be careful when removing the connectors
as these connector can be very tight to
remove.

1
0. If you want your tail motor to be working,
you can get the
tail motor adapter.  This
connects between the "UPPPER Motor
Input" on the 400 ESC and then connect to
the Twin Brushless Motor Input labelled
"Connect to 400D ESC - Upper Motor".  The
tail motor input can connect to  the tail
motor.

11
.  You are now done installing the twin
brushless motor kit.  Get your canopy back
on and let's test the helicopter.  Start up the
heli by connecting the bannana plug
labelled "Connect to LIPO Battery" and bind
with the Tx.  Re-adjust the heli for the
Center of Gravity (CG).   If the heli CG is tail
heavy re-adjust the servo arms for
more/less FF Flight.

Congratulations ! - You are done and ready
to fly.
