    Why convert to a brushless motor system ?

    Get the Ultimate --- A Totally Brushless Helicopter.  Brushless motors run cool to the touch.  No more heat sinks to add extra weight.  Which means
    you can fly all day as long as you keep on swapping fresh LIPO batteries IN/OUT.  Brushless motors are more efficient than regular carbon brushed
    motors and are ideal for aerobatic 3-D inverted flying. Because the brushless motor are governed by an ESC, there is less strain on the Rx, reducing
    RF noise and glitches.

    Let's face it, it was bad enough that the main carbon brushed tail motor always heated up and we had to wait for the motor to cool down before flying
    but the tail motor was even worse.  No one really talks about the tail motor, but this is also carbon brushed and it fails even faster than the main
    carbon brushed motor.  Having flown over 2,000 plus flights using the carbon brushed system over an 11.1v LIPO, the average lifespan with tail motor
    heat sinks installed lasts about 30 flights versus the main motor which lasts about 150 flights.  More importantly, the tail motors cost almost the
    same price as the carbon brushed 370 main motor.   Needless to say, it's a money pit and the reason why many have gone to the large CP helis that
    use belts as the tail drive.  While that's nice, I don't like to loose my investment in the any heli.  So, I looked at some other ways to change the tail
    motor.

    The most common way is to use a GWS Carbon brushed n60 motor which is double the length of the typical n30 tail motor.  It used the GWS EP 5030
    or 6030 prop found on electric airplanes.  The good thing about this is there are no more gears.  It was a direct drive system.  In other words, no more
    gear reduction -- so more power.  That was nice, but it also suffered the same problem -- It was still carbon brushed and lasted only so long.   

    My solution, get the whole heli brushless.  The tail motor on this kit is brushless which means its more efficient than a standard carbon brushed
    motor.  It is cool to the touch which means you can fly all day without having to worry about a motor burnout.  No more fuses are required since the
    brushless motor is governed by the ESC which is proctected with better MOSFET circuits.  So while the kit maybe expensive upfront, it will definately
    pay off longer term.  Think about all those carbon brushed main motors and tail motors that have been bought.   The cost savings are enormous and
    the benefits are too numerous.


    What's required for the conversion ?

    This system just requires a brushless totally brushless motor kit and the signal converter.  Some soldering is required for the tail section but mostly
    all you have to do is just install using a screwdriver for replacing the carbon brushed motor with the new brushless motor and follow where to connect
    the various connectors with the provided instructions.

Above is a short flight using the modified totally brushless motor kit on the 2.4 GHz Walkera #22E/ Exceed Eagle 50 6-channel CP heli.  The video will
show how fast this bird can accelerate up, climb, and spin.  You can hear the brushless motors purr.  The brushless main motor system  with the direct
drive brushless tail motor was tested using an 11.1 volt 1,000 Mah 25c LIPO.  The flight time was about 7-10 minutes on average.

brushless tail motor is a direct drive (DD) system which gives more power than the typical stock motor as there is no gear reduction.   Installed are the
Super Skids 300 landing gear system with the super skids adapter 22 overlayed with a cool looking blue CNC metal rotor head rotor head assembly and
metal tail struts for more support of the tail boom, stronger Walkera 400D tail boom with tail frame,  and black carbon fiber composite blades.   A larger
11.1 volt 1,000 Mah 25c LIPO battery is used for longer flight times with an ON/OFF power switch for convenience.
